Spreading the word

WARNING: This site is Woke. If you can’t handle the idea of giving back, supporting people that don’t look like you, or you just don’t do well with critical thinking, this isn’t a place you’re likely to appreciate.

I built Ventura County Betterment to share info with like-minded folks in the community that believe in positive change, giving back to our community, and transcending the fear and hate so common in modern US politics. At a time when national news can be super-depressing, it’s OK to take a break and look for ways to make our local community stronger.

Some of us are time-constrained, but might have a few dollars to donate to worthy causes. Some might have the time to volunteer or to help spread the word.

I’m not a website designer by trade, so excuse the clunkiness. I’ll be working to improve it regularly over the coming months. Suggested improvements/additions are welcome.
